Like WrestleMania 2000, No Mercy boasted a complete set of the title belts in WWE at the time of the game’s release. While it lacked WrestleMania 2000’s create-a-belt feature, it allowed greater access to the titles and an increased level of features involving them.
Titles could be contested for in Career Mode (more on that later), but they could also change hands in plain matches, either with a player against the computer or against other players. That way, avid fans had an easy time keeping the lineup of champions in the game current with those in real life.
