In the midst of using his political influence to kill off WCW and anyone he saw as competition, The Undertaker character itself was dying.
A big part of the mystique killer was Taker’s insistence on riding a motorbike to the ring. He wanted to ride the bikes based on it being his hobby and wanting to show that off. He thought it made him look cool and tough that he rode a bike.
But fans found it ridiculous and the motorcycles were really only an indulgence to his own conceit. His entrance was more over produced and longer in time than almost anyone else on the roster, with the logistical and production considerations being a big investment.
Taker’s entrance and exit would last longer than some matches, which illustrates just how over indulged he was compared to his peers.
