Of the young early-2000s talent pool (headed by Cena, Orton, Batista and Lesnar), The Viper seemed most suited to life as a wrestler. The son of veteran ‘Cowboy’ Bob Orton, Randy was comfortably the smoothest, most polished of the group in the ring. He also possessed the smug good looks and arrogant persona of a top class bad guy, as well as a cool edge that served such heels as The Rock (and, indeed, Cena himself) so well when the time for a face turn came around.
