15 WWE Stars Who Thrived On Being Hated

8. Ted DiBiase

Considering that the gimmick embodied by Ted DiBiase upon his arrival in the WWE was allegedly Vince McMahon’s own hand-picked character that he’d always envisioned for himself, it’s no surprise that The Million Dollar Man was positioned so strongly.
A smug, elite one-percenter who flaunted his wealth in the face of the fans, DiBiase would often draw heat by offering money to fans in exchange for them humiliating themselves, and then cheat them out of the money after the fact. With his manservant, Virgil in tow, Ted became the WWE’s top heel for a significant time, as well as playing a supporting role in the Hogan/Andre feud.
