Although Nitro smashed Raw in the ratings from mid 1996 until spring 1998, it was largely neck and neck for the latter part of 98, and then Raw was way out in front from 1999 until Nitro’s demise in early 2001.
The highest rated segment in Raw history is Mick Foley’s “This Is Your Life” to The Rock on September 27, 1999. The segment received an 8.4 rating and is one of the most celebrated creative productions in Raw history.
