In 2002, Triple H had his dream all figured out. The plan was perfect, he’d return from injury and win the Royal Rumble. He’d then go on to wrestle one of the best workers in the company, Chris Jericho, in the main event of WrestleMania X8. It would surely be a classic match and he’d become WWE Champion, setting him up for a year of dominance as the franchise star.
