8. Kiss My A** Club
Vince McMahon pulling his trousers down on Monday Night Raw and having his exposed bum kissed by another wrestler… even though it is scripted, it’s still demeaning to whoever has to kiss the a**. As a viewer, that makes it uncomfortable to watch.
Added to this is the fact that 18-35 year old men (WWE’s key audience demographic) have no desire to see an old man with his pants down. Hot WWE Divas in matches, sure, but a trouser-less Vince? It isn’t the kind of television which excites us as fans. Thinking about the deeper context of Vince’s club, there’s something genuinely disturbing… as Chairman he is scripting other men to kiss his backside. Does he have some sort of psychological problem, is he on this much of a power trip, does he actually like the public exposure and feeling of another man’s lips on his rear?
