2. Vince McMahon Makes Trish Stratus Bark Like A Dog
In 2001 the Mr McMahon character ordered Trish Stratus to strip to her bra and thong in the WWF ring, get on all fours, and bark like a dog. It may have been fiction, but the misogynistic sexism was way past the point of acceptability. We want to be proud of watching wrestling, not ashamed to admit to watching something which treated a woman in this way. The fact Trish sold it so well, appearing genuinely distressed, made it all the worst to sit through. Can you imagine how this must have looked to an outsider flicking through the channels and landing on Raw?
